Worldline Group is one of the world's leading payment and transactional service providers, offering end-to-end solutions covering the entire payment value chain. It has omnichannel solutions for merchants, banks, acquirers, payment services providers (PSPs), businesses, and governments. Worldline operates its services in 170 countries, supporting over 350 payment services and 140 currencies. Worldline operates through three segments-Merchant Services, Financial Services, and Mobility & e-Transactional Services-offering acquiring and processing, card issuing processing, clearing and settlement, open banking, and mobile banking services. Previously, it had a fourth business line, Terminals, Solutions & Services (TSS), which it sold to Apollo Funds in October 2022.

It has made several acquisitions of complementary businesses, which has helped it remain competitive. In November 2018, Worldline acquired SIX Payment Services, enabling it to become a major payment processing company in Europe. In October 2020, the group completed the acquisition of mobile and point-of-sale (POS) payment solutions provider Ingenico Group. In September 2021, it acquired a 92.5% stake in Greek payment network services provider Cardlink. In January 2022, it completed the purchase of Axepta Italy.

As the payments industry continues to evolve, Worldline is launching new payment-acceptance solutions for merchants. In September 2021, the group launched WL Crypto Payments a cryptocurrency payment-acceptance solution for online and in-store merchants in Switzerland in collaboration with crypto financial services provider Bitcoin Suisse.
