In Q1/2020, world revenue reached USD 104.6 billion, down 3.6% q-o-q, up 6.9% compared to Q1/2019. By region, in Q1/2020, sales of semiconductor equipment in China accounted for the largest proportion of the whole sentence with 33.46%, equivalent to 35.05 billion USD. Ranked second is the Asia-Pacific region (excluding China and Japan) with sales of USD 28.52 billion, accounting for 27.35%. The Covid-19 pandemic took place further reducing global demand for tablets, worldwide shipments to 24.6 million units in Q1/2020, down 43.44% from the previous quarter and 18.27% over the same period in 2019. According to both IDC and Gartner statistics for the global personal computer market, shipments of personal computers worldwide in Q1/2020 decreased by 12.3% to 51.5 million units. The top six vendors of personal computers are Lenovo (down 3.2%), HP Inc (down 12.1%), Dell (up 2.2%), Apple (down 6.2%), Acer Group (down 12.7%) and ASUS (down 26.2%).
