Construction steel: although the market has a relatively good growth in output, but the production and business efficiency of businesses has not increased accordingly. Many businesses have difficulty, especially with pure steel rolling mills due to the high cost of input steel billet, while the price of finished products does not increase correspondingly due to the supply exceeding demand, fierce competition between producers. Consumption of construction steel reached 7,872 million tons in the first 9 months of 2019. Hoa Phat continues to lead the industry, accounting for 24% of the market share, far ahead of Pomina (9%) and Posco SS (8%).
