The Europe Pupillometer Market is expected to witness market growth of 8.8% CAGR during the forecast period (2020-2026).

Pupillometer is an optical scanner in which the eye is stimulated with light and the response generated is captured in the form of digital images. These images are then analyzed to find a measurement of the diameter of the human pupil. Pupillometers work in a combination of NPi algorithms that quantifies the reactivity of pupil. In pupillometers, mostly subjectivity is detached from the qualitative measurement of the pupil. The measurements of the pupil produced by the pupillometer were compared with the standard in order to determine the deviation. Pupillometers are a method in which there is a non-invasive assessment of pupil is done and it is helpful in the neurological assessment. pupillometers are mostly used for monitoring the size and activity of pupil and pupil is stimulated by using infrared lights. The diameter of the pupil is recorded at a frequency ranging from 5 to 60 HZ.

The pupillometer market has seen a robust growth globally as their demand is continuously increasing in the neurological assessment. Although if the cost is considered, then the next generation pupillometer’s cost is slightly higher as compared to traditional methods. In developed economies, the rate of adoption of pupillometers is not affected much due to the benefits of the instrument.

Pupillary reflex is one of the important factors that are helpful in the diagnosis and management of serious brain injury patients. For proper management of disorders related to the brain, pupillometers play a crucial role as it helps in understanding neurology by assessment of the size and activity pupils. Therefore, the application of the pupillometer is continuously increasing with the increasing occurrence of neurological disorders. In addition to it, technological advancement has resulted in the development of next-generation pupillometer which is more advance than that of traditional pupillometry.
