This map shows the location and operator of Irish Datacentres. This is shown in the context of their connectivity with the rest of Ireland and the outside world. This is achieved by illustrating the wholesale fibre network and the submarine cables linking Ireland with Britain, Europe and USA.
The map also shows the Metropolitan Area Network Areas (MAN) and their connectivity. This illustrates the areas within Ireland which could support Datacentres. As data centres are large energy consumers The Irish Electricity Grid is shown in the background.
An inset for the Dublin area is included.
