To make the payment, the account holder needs to provide their full name, Bank Identification Statement, and the transfer amount in the medium of payment, such as mobile application, website or branch network. Users can also make the transfers via payment cards by registering them. This platform complies with the ISO 20022 international messaging standard.
  • Financial inclusion is the main priority in the country. The Central Government is taking initiatives to promote electronic payments in the country. In August 2025, the Central Bank launched “Digital Morocco 2030”. This strategy aims to digitalize public services with the goal of driving economic growth, enhancing public services, and fostering a dynamic digital economy. Furthermore, in February 2026, the Moroccan Ministry of Tourism, in partnership with Attijariwafa Bank and Visa, launched the “Stay Cashless” program, to accelerate digital payments in the tourism sector. This. initiative enables solutions such as tap-on-phone, pay-by-link, and dynamic currency conversion, allowing tourists to make secure, cashless payments across hotels, restaurants, and other services, while supporting small businesses in adopting a digital payment infrastructure.
  • The digitalization of banking services is also driving financial inclusion and debit card adoption. To capitalize, in February 2026, Saham Bank introduced nabD, a fully-digital banking service in Morocco, following its acquisition of Societe Generale Maroc in 2024.
