Company dynamics:

Bluestar Adisseo's planned issuance of A-shares to specific subscribers has been approved by the SASAC. Some of the proceeds from the issuance will be used in three methionine-related projects.

Project developments:

• The EI report of Jilin Meihua's "Meihua Head Economy Industrial Park Phase I: 600,000 t/a lysine and supporting (facilities) project" was published. The project is scheduled to commence construction in July this year.
• The EI report of Shouguang Golden Corn's 200,000 t/a lysine project was accepted and published.
• The EI report of Bayannur Huaheng's "alternate production project of 60,000 t/a three branched-chain amino acids and tryptophan, as well as 10,000 t/a refined amino acids" was accepted and published.
• The Phase II of Shelile Pharma's "amino acids construction project" passed EP acceptance check, introducing production capacities of 100 t/a for DL-Aspartic acid, 100 t/a for pyroglutamic acid, etc.
• Phase I of Grand Hoyo's amino acid industry construction project has been completed and passed the EP acceptance inspection, adding production capacities of 9,050 t/a for amino acids and their derivatives, as well as APIs.

Governmental Direction:

• The public consultation draft of industry standard "Amino acids, their salts and analogues - Part 13: β-Alanine" was published.
• MARA approved the new registration or registration renewal of 9 imported feed or feed additive products related to amino acids.
• ChPC published the draft of national pharmaceutical excipient standard for histidine hydrochloride, in order to seek public comments.

Price:

Methionine prices continued to drop in June, owing to weak demand.

Import and Export:

In May, China's export volume of lysine ester and salt swelled by 11.41% YoY, but contracted by 0.79% MoM. With the help of new production capacities being activated in the future, the growth in exports may persist.
