    Report

  • 75 Pages
  • December 2022
  • Region: United States
  • Primary Research Group
  • ID: 5702267

This study looks closely at how students, faculty and administration view transgender students on campus; it helps its readers to answer questions such as: how much prejudice do transgender students experience? Do college administrations tolerate transphobia on campus? How do different groups on a campus defined by income level, age, ethnicity/race, gender, sexual orientation, academic major, college grades, region or origin and many other variables view transgender students?

Just a few of this 75-page report’s many findings are:

  • More than 24% of students attending colleges that charged less than $9,800 annually thought that their fellow students view transgender students negatively.
  • 13.5% of Caucasian students felt that trans students were treated better than non-trans students on campus.
  • Gay students were three times as likely as straight ones to feel that trans students were mistreated on campus.

Data is broken out by more than 20 institutional and personal variables including but not limited to: income of a family of origin, race/ethnicity, religion, gender, regional origins, current employment status, sexual orientation, major field of study, age, year of school standing, type of college, size of the college, tuition level of college, and many other variables.
