Car wax is a product used to put a polished coating on the car’s body. The wax coating acts as a protective layer on the car’s surface and gives the vehicle a shine and polish finish. Car wax properties that help the wax perform its primary functions of polished finish and protection include wax’s un-dissolvable water property, which keeps the protective coating for a long time without any damage from heavy rains, car wash, acid rain, etc. In addition, the protective layer keeps airborne pollutants and contaminants from sticking to the car’s surface.

To further improve the attributes of the wax coat, wax now also comes with additional UV inhibition properties to protect the paint from any damage from the sun's harsh UV rays. Also, the wax does not melt under the high heat of the sun's rays due to its high melting point (more than 180 degrees Fahrenheit). Car wax is applied to the whole car's body, after which the excess is removed using a unique tool or a microfiber cloth once it is dried.

On the other hand, car polishes utilize their abrasive properties to remove minor scratches or swirl marks from the car's body. Car polish is generally used when the car loses its shine and has apparent surface damage. In these cases, the polishing method will impart smoothness to the car's surface by giving a spotless, clear paint finish. The car polish provides the vehicle with a new look, and a daily polish will enhance the car's overall appearance. Polishes are used only at specific areas of the body to remove minor scratches and provide the affected area with a smooth finish.

A purchase grant, also known as the environmental bonus, is paid to new vehicles, around EUR 4, 000 for non-hybrid electric cars and EUR 3, 000 for non-plug hybrid cars. The grant is paid for the purchase of vehicles with a list of prices up to EUR 60, 000. The shift towards the zero-emission vans and cars by 2035 delivery plan is regarding the UK’s aim to become the fastest G7 nation to decarbonize vehicles. UK plans to phase out Petrol & diesel cars and vans by 2030 and change them entirely to zero-emission at the tailpipe by 2035.
