Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh are major metropolitan regions in Vietnam and about 17.8% of Vietnamese population lives. These regions generated 28.3% of the country's GDP in 2022, according to the publisher's cities database.
The Ho Chi Minh index has been on a decreasing trend. As of May 23, 2023, the index stood at 1068.2, compared to 1,218.8 on May 23, 2022.
