The panel discusses the federal statutory scheme governing cannabis, its tension with state laws, and developing case law regarding roadblocks in accessing relief under the Bankruptcy Code. The panel also analyzes state court receiverships and other non-bankruptcy methods for dealing with cannabis related businesses, and special concerns that lenders and other parties should address in dealing with those in the industry.
