Consumers expect a seamless digital experience when shopping online, and central to this is a safe and secure payment process. Digital payments is an important theme for ecommerce companies, with all of the top five companies in the thematic screen of the publisher's ecommerce sector scorecard scoring at least 4 out of 5 in this theme. Additionally, the top three ranked companies (Visa, Mastercard, and Klarna) all provide consumer payment services, highlighting the importance of this aspect of ecommerce.
