Stripe is a global payment services provider. Founded in 2010, the solution allows online merchants and vendors to accept payments for products and services offered through their own websites and mobile apps, as well as for those offered through third-party online marketplaces and platforms. Stripe works on all web-enabled devices. It has been deployed by a host of businesses globally, including online merchants, marketplaces, and platforms.

The solution allows businesses to accept payments in over 135 currencies through more than 100 payment methods including debit and credit cards, Automated Clearing House (ACH), Apple Pay, and Alipay. It is supported by major card schemes such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express, eftpos Australia, Discover, JCB, Diners Club, and China UnionPay.

Rising consumer and business adoption of social media and network platforms saw Stripe partner with Microsoft to introduce Teams Payments in May 2023. This solution enables hosts to accept card payments in real time during meetings, events, virtual appointments, and Teams sessions. Stripe also introduced similar services in Singapore in the same month, allowing businesses to accept payment directly in WhatsApp chats. In February 2025, Stripe acquired Bridge, a stablecoin payments infrastructure provider, which will enable Stripe to integrate stablecoin transactions into its payment processing offerings. In addition, June 2025 saw Stripe acquire Privy, a US-based crypto wallet infrastructure provider, further strengthening its crypto offering.
