Course overview
Identifying and managing underperformance of employees in the workplace can be challenging.
An organisation is made up of a group of people, who are performing different tasks, but if those tasks are not completed effectively then the organisation is not going to be achieving what it sets out to achieve. However simple that might seem, many managers struggle with addressing underperformance. It is an unpleasant task to sit someone down and tell them that the work that they are doing is not of a sufficiently high standard. It is difficult to articulate what is not being done well, and difficult to address an employee who disputes their underperformance.
In this course we will explore all the difficulties of managing underperformance, equipping managers with the skills to address this effectively. We explore the reasons people might be underperforming, how to approach them and start that difficult conversation, and ways to manage underperformance for the best outcomes.
The author uses real-life examples and distils many years of experience throughout the 6 modules of this course.
