Rammed Earth Construction and the Use of Additives: Technologies, Classification, and Applications reports on earth buildings as viable solution to meet requirements for modern-day, green construction. Opening with a combination of foundational aspects and a discussion on state-of-the-art technologies that enhance the rammed earth technique, the book then investigates the admixtures that can be used to improve raw materials’ durability, strength, and thermal performance. Coverage thoroughly delves into different types of additives, clarifying the origin of those naturally sourced, the manufacturing processes of those manmade, and their specific effects, with a focus on methods for stabilization, reinforcement, and preservation of structures.

Real-world case studies are also included, bringing practical value-add to an already scientifically robust research resource. This will be an essential guide for a variety of audiences in academic and industry contexts who are committed to finding new ways of thinking and working to fulfill pressing sustainability goals worldwide.
