He has published over 70 articles in leading international journals and conferences. He has served as a guest editor for special issues in top-tier journals and as a program committee member for international conferences.
Mukund was awarded the University Distinguished Teaching Fellowship in 2023 by the University of Leicester, recognizing his outstanding contributions to research inspired education. A Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Ponnambalam has forty-one years of experience with thirty-nine years in academia and two years in a manufacturing company as Production Engineer. He is currently holding Dean (Research) position at AMET University, Chennai, India. Earlier he held senior academic positions at VIT University, India, University Malaysia Pahang, Malaysia, Monash University Malaysia, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappali, and PSG College of Technology, India. His area of expertise includes design and analysis of automated manufacturing systems and robotic assembly line systems.
