Nanocellulose from Agricultural Biomass: Fundamentals, Performance, and Applications provides an extensive exploration of the cutting-edge advancements in this field. The book aims to cover the entire spectrum, from the origins and significance of agricultural biomass to the traditional and modern isolation methods of nanocellulose. It delves into the critical role of nanocellulose in emerging applications, especially through chemical surface modifications and composite fabrication processes involving both thermoplastic and thermosetting materials. The book is structured into three main sections: fundamentals, fabrication, and applications.

The first section offers a foundational understanding of agricultural biomass resources, their morphology, and methods for sustainable green extraction and isolation of nanocellulose. The second section covers techniques for modifying and functionalizing nanocellulose, composite fabrication processes, and performance evaluations. The third section explores various cutting-edge applications, such as biomedical materials, electronics, environmental remediation, structural applications, packaging, 3-D printing, and propellants. This book is designed for a wide audience, including researchers, industry professionals, and postgraduate students working in the fields of natural fibers, nanocellulose, and polymer composites. It addresses the growing interest in sustainable materials by presenting detailed, interdisciplinary research and collaborative efforts to develop nanocellulose applications. The book highlights the economic potential and market value of nanocellulose products, making it an invaluable resource for those engaged in advancing sustainable product development.
