Barrier Membranes in Regenerative Dentistry: From Concepts to Clinical Applications and Bioengineering provides the first comprehensive book dedicated to the science, technology, and clinical practice of barrier membranes in regenerative periodontal and implant therapy. Bridging foundational biology with state-of-the-art innovations, this authoritative volume traces the historical evolution of barrier membranes, examines their material and biological properties, and explores their therapeutic applications in guided tissue regeneration (GTR) and guided bone regeneration (GBR). Structured as both a scholarly reference and a practical clinical guide, the book spans the continuum of membrane technologies-from early passive barriers to today’s bioenhanced, gene-activated, and tissue-engineered platforms.

Each chapter integrates scientific principles with real-world surgical applications that are supported by more than 500 clinical and scientific illustrations and over 1,000 peer-reviewed references. Concise summary boxes, clinical implications, and key conclusions at the end of each chapter reinforce learning and support evidence-based decision-making. Unique features include comprehensive coverage of both degradable and non-degradable membranes, comparative analysis of material classes, and forward-looking perspectives on biofunctional and personalized regenerative approaches.

Table of Contents
