Navid Ghavi Hossein-Zadeh Professor, Department of Animal ScienceUniversity of Guilan, Iran.

Navid Ghavi Hossein-Zadeh is a Professor in the Department of Animal Science at the University of Guilan in Iran. He graduated with a Ph.D. in animal breeding and genetics from the University of Tehran in Iran. His main research interests include genetic and genomic evaluations, improvement of farm animals using conventional and advanced methods/models, animal breeding strategies, and modeling of farm animal systems. He is the editor-in-chief of Animal Production Research, a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Dairy Research, and associate editor of the Journal of Animal Science and Technology, Frontiers in Genetics, and Frontiers in Veterinary Science. He was listed among the top 2% of global scientists in their major field in 2020-2023. He was also selected as one of the best academic staff in Iran in 2023.
