Professor of Orthopedic Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Engineering at the Faculties of Physical Therapy and Engineering, Cairo University, Egypt. Prof. Rehan Youssef earned her PhD in Biomechanics from the University of Calgary, Canada, and is a co-founder and clinical research consultant at the TRUST Research Center, Egypt.

With over a decade of experience teaching research methodology to biomedical researchers, she has served as an associate editor, academic editor, and guest editor for various journals. Prof. Rehan Youssef has also received formal training in knowledge translation through the Knowledge Translation Network of Canada. Her extensive teaching experience across disciplines enables her to effectively communicate complex concepts and bridge knowledge gaps among professionals from diverse biomedical fields.

Eugenio Pompeo University of Tor Vergata, Italy. Associate Professor of Thoracic Surgery at the University of Tor Vergata, Rome, Italy. Prof. Pompeo leads a clinical-research program at the Tor Vergata University Hospital. His primary research interests include minimally invasive thoracic surgery and spontaneous ventilation video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery. He serves as an associate editor of The Cardiothoracic Surgeon journal and has authored more than 250 scientific articles and book chapters. Notably, he edited the first e-monograph on awake thoracic surgery. Mohammed Gumaa University of Cairo, Egypt.

Orthopedic Physical Therapy Consultant and CEO of the TRUST Research Center. Dr. Gumaa is a research consultant, biostatistician, and statistical editor at the Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery. Over the past decade, he has taught research methodology and biostatistics to clinicians from various educational and professional backgrounds.

In addition to his academic expertise, Dr. Gumaa is a talented artist who skillfully translates scientific concepts into illustrative images, enhancing the accessibility and understanding of complex topics.

Ahmed Hassouna University of Cairo, Egypt.

Prof. Hassouna was the founder and Editor-in-Chief of The Cardiothoracic Surgeon and The Egyptian Cardiothoracic Surgeon journals, as well as an associate editor and statistical advisor for The Egyptian Heart Journal. He served as a visiting professor of Biostatistics at several Egyptian universities and as a Biostatistics consultant for the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population. He was also a member of the Egyptian Supreme Council Committee for Promoting Professors and the founder of the TRUST Research Center (https://trustresearch.org), which is a start-up that provide training and consultancy to biomedical reseracher with an extensive training history and international collaboration over the past 7 years. Furthermore, Prof. Hassouna served on several regulatory committees at the Ministry of Health, where he was a trusted advisor on evidence-based practice. He played a pivotal role in conceiving this book and edited most of the chapters assigned to him before his passing in February.
