The clean-label preservatives market size for fermentation-based sources increases as dairy and meat manufacturers seek alternatives that protect safety and support additive-free claims. Animal-based ingredients such as chitosan and lysozyme retain specialized use where allergen and vegan-positioning limits can be managed.

The region benefits from a large private-label ecosystem, strong cold-chain infrastructure, and high demand for packaged foods with recognizable ingredients.
