Metro AG is a German retail company based in Dusseldorf, Germany. It owns and operates more than 2,200 wholesale stores, supermarkets, hypermarkets and department stores. Almost 1,000 of these stores are located in Germany, with the rest spread out among 30 countries, including China, Russia, India and France. Metro has two consumer electronic chains, Media Markt and Saturn, and is also launching e-commerce platforms for its businesses. It currently employs over 220,000 workers worldwide.
