Objectives

Participants successfully completing the program will be able to:

- Describe how static electricity is generated from common actions
- Identify two different types of damage caused by ESD
- Explain problems and cost implications of ESD
- Identify conditions most likely to cause uncontrolled ESD
- Explain behavior of insulative, conductive, and dissipative materials
- Identify causes and effects of polarization and induction
- Describe the function of grounding in ESD control
- This course is also available in a 508 compliant accessible version.
