However, the company witnessed a decrease of 74.80% in its earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) in 2016 compared with that in 2015 due to restructuring costs, significant impairments of inventories, currency hedging, and other project-related activities, such as relocation and reinstating. The company and its subsidiaries adopted product launches as their key business strategy in 2016. For example, in March 2016, Hydroid, Inc. (US), a subsidiary of Konsberg Gruppen ASA, launched the new-generation REMUS 100 AUV/marine robot.
