Dr. Shyamasree Ghosh (MSc, PhD, PGDHE, PGDBI) has worked and published extensively in glycobiology, biology of sialic acids, immunology, stem cells, nanotechnology and computational biology and is currently working as the Scientific Officer, since 2009 in the School of Biological Sciences, National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, under Department of Atomic Energy, Govt of India currently located in Jatni, Orissa. ty. She has authored several publications that include books and encyclopedia chapters in reputed journals and books. Research that tries to decode the complexity of life with hopes for a better living forms her research interest. Md. Nurul Hasan Researcher, Department of Zoology, Zoological Survey of India Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. Md. Nurul Hasan is a zoologist with a strong foundation in biodiversity, ecology, and taxonomy, holding an M.Sc. in Zoology and pursuing a Ph.D. at the University of Calcutta. With over nine years at the Zoological Survey of India, he has progressed to Project Biologist, leading field surveys, specimen collection, and faunal diversity assessments across India. His research portfolio spans vermiculture, medicinal leeches, and host-microbe interactions, emphasizing data-driven analyses and rigorous scientific writing. Hasan has authored more than 35 research articles and 25+ book chapters, including a monograph on earthworms and numerous species descriptions. His expertise in taxonomy, ecology, and conservation, coupled with a deep engagement in biodiversity-based approaches to host-pathogen interactions, provides valuable perspectives for glycobiology, immunology, and their biomedical applications. He is a life member of several scientific societies and a reviewer for prominent journals in biodiversity and related fields.
