If you want to link your strategy to the most powerful consumer trends, you need to know what consumers are thinking about how and what they eat.

Our five-country survey, published each year, tracks long-term changes in consumer beliefs about food, nutrition and health.

We ask consumers in the USA, the UK, Australia, Spain and Brazil:

  • what they’re eating and avoiding eating
  • where they look for food & health information
  • explore their attitudes to fats, carbs, digestive wellness, mood & mind, meatless meals and more.

The data is laid out in 85 charts, with brief summaries and explanations. We compare countries, look at the influence of gender and age, and show how the picture is changing compared to previous years.

This year’s report includes a special focus on younger consumers aged 18-34, presented in 14 charts.

Our consumer survey is available in PDF and Powerpoint so that you can incorporate the charts into your own presentations. It is based on interviews with 2,516 consumers split between the US, UK, Australia, Spain and Brazil.
