Abu Elella is a Lecturer in Polymer Science and Technology at the Chemistry Department, Faculty of Science, Cairo University, where he earned his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry. He recently served as a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Reading, UK (2021-2025). His research focuses on designing advanced biopolymeric systems-including grafted copolymers, hydrogels, scaffolds, nanocomposites, lipid nanoparticles, nanoemulsions, and polymer-coated carriers-for biomedical applications. With over 12 years of research experience, he has also developed mucoadhesive inhalable polymeric powders using innovative spray-drying techniques for pulmonary and nasal drug delivery. Dr. Abu Elella has published more than 45 peer-reviewed articles and 24 book chapters, achieving an h-index of 26. He was listed among the World's Top 2% Most-Cited Scientists (Stanford University, 2023-2024) and serves as a frequent peer reviewer for leading journals. In 2024, he contributed to four books with major scientific publishers.
