Dr. Alessandro Villa is an Associate Surgeon at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. He completed a surgical residency in oral medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard School of Dental Medicine and a post-doctoral fellowship in cancer epidemiology and genetics at the National Cancer Institute at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Villa is board certified in Oral Medicine. His clinical interests include the treatment of oral mucosal diseases, salivary gland disorders and oral complications from cancer therapy. Dr. Villa's research interests are focused primarily on potentially malignant disorders of the oral cavity and oral toxicities from cancer treatment.Dr. Villa has published widely on topics in oral medicine and is the author of over 40 research papers, reviews and chapters.
