Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) is a technology used in air purification to reduce sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions from power plants and other industrial sources. FGD systems are typically installed on the exhaust of boilers and other combustion processes to capture and remove SO2 from the exhaust gas. The captured SO2 is then converted into a solid or liquid form, such as gypsum, which can be used in various applications. FGD systems are also used to reduce other pollutants, such as nitrogen oxides (NOx) and particulate matter (PM).
FGD technology has been widely adopted in many countries due to its effectiveness in reducing air pollution. It is also a cost-effective solution for reducing emissions from power plants and other industrial sources.
Some companies in the FGD market include Babcock & Wilcox, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Siemens, and Alstom. Show Less Read more
