             Norfloxacin is an antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. It belongs to a class of antibiotics known as fluoroquinolones, which work by inhibiting the growth of bacteria. Norfloxacin is used to treat urinary tract infections, gonorrhea, and other bacterial infections. It is also used to prevent certain types of bacterial infections in people who are at risk of developing them.
