Perindopril is a drug used to treat cardiovascular diseases, such as hypertension, coronary artery disease, and heart failure. It belongs to a class of drugs known as angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors, which work by blocking the action of a hormone that causes blood vessels to narrow. Perindopril is usually taken once a day, and it can be used in combination with other medications to treat more severe cases of cardiovascular disease. It is generally well-tolerated, with few side effects.
Perindopril is available in both generic and brand-name formulations. Some of the major companies that produce perindopril include Pfizer, Merck, Novartis, and Sanofi. Generic versions of the drug are also available from a variety of manufacturers. Show Less Read more
