PMOLED (Passive Matrix OLED) is a type of OLED display technology that is used in small, low-power applications such as mobile phones, watches, and other portable devices. Unlike active matrix OLED (AMOLED) displays, PMOLED displays do not require a thin-film transistor (TFT) backplane, making them simpler and less expensive to manufacture. PMOLED displays are also more power efficient than AMOLED displays, making them ideal for battery-powered devices.
PMOLED displays are made up of an array of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) that are arranged in a matrix. Each OLED is individually addressable, allowing for the display of text, graphics, and video. PMOLED displays are typically used in small, low-resolution displays, such as those found in mobile phones and watches.
