Secure Flight is a program developed by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to enhance the security of air travel. The program requires airlines to collect and verify passenger information prior to boarding. This includes the passenger's full name, date of birth, and gender. The information is then compared against the TSA's No Fly and Selectee lists. If a passenger is on either list, they will be denied boarding.
Secure Flight also helps to reduce the number of false positives that occur when passengers are incorrectly identified as being on the No Fly or Selectee lists. This helps to reduce the amount of time spent on security screening and allows passengers to board their flights more quickly.
Companies in the Secure Flight market include MorphoTrust USA, SITA, and Accenture. Show Less Read more
