Transforming Growth Factor Beta 2 (TGF-β2) is a protein that plays a role in the regulation of cell growth and differentiation. In oncology, TGF-β2 is used to treat a variety of cancers, including breast, lung, and prostate cancer. It works by inhibiting the growth of cancer cells and inducing apoptosis, or programmed cell death. TGF-β2 is also used to reduce the risk of metastasis, or the spread of cancer cells to other parts of the body. In addition, it has been shown to reduce the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
Several companies are involved in the development and production of TGF-β2 for oncology drugs. These include Amgen, Merck, Pfizer, Novartis, and Bristol-Myers Squibb. Show Less Read more
