Korea Electric Power (KEPCO) generates an estimated 87% of the country’s power supply. It is the primary power distributor, serving 12 million households. The company is responsible for the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity and the development of electric power projects including those in nuclear power, wind power and coal. Industrial demand accounts for more than 50% of the company's annual output. The Korean government controls 51% of KEPCO.
