This issue of High-tech Materials TOE showcases a few breakthrough materials and process innovations for environmental, energy, and biomedical applications. To replace harmful plastics that negatively impact the environment with landfills, a recyclable material has been showcased for use in adhesive packaging. To replace toxic surfactants that are used in the cosmetics industry, a surfactant-free nanoemulsion production process has been highlighted.
