The company was founded in 1930 following the merger of Margarine Unie and Lever Brothers, and its products are available in 190 countries. Unilever is one of the oldest multinational companies and the biggest producer of food spreads in the world. Unilever employs 171,000 staff worldwide, and is headquartered in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
